01 / Game provider platform
Mascot Gaming backend platform
As Technical Lead for Mascot Gaming’s core platform, I combine hands-on Go development with architecture, team leadership, and production ownership. The game provider’s backend handles 1,200 requests per second, supporting new games, game features, and client integrations.

Outcome
Scaled platform performance by up to 3x under peak load and improved incident response. The platform handles 1,200 RPS in production, with continued work on high availability and SLA requirements.
Leadership and impact
- Built and lead a team of six engineers, owning hiring, mentoring, performance management, and engineering standards.
- Develop core Go services and security-critical features, deliver new games and game features, and integrate clients and partner systems in both directions.
- Protect transaction correctness through idempotent request handling, Redis coordination, sharded storage, and transactional outbox event delivery.
- Collaborate with customer support and sales on client needs, integration issues, and production incident response.
- Build MCP servers with Fx, diagnostic tools for sessions, API logs, and integration contracts, and reusable agent skills for AI-driven engineering workflows.
Company and product context
The distributed Go platform connects game sessions and rounds, balance operations, and partner APIs. Services communicate through gRPC/Protobuf, NATS, and Kafka. Sharded PostgreSQL storage and Redis support transaction processing, while transactional outbox links database changes to event delivery.
